About The Foundation for Transparency and Accountability
FTA is a leading non-governmental organization committed to advancing transparency, accountability, and ethical governance in Nigeria.
Established in 2006 as the Nigeria Development Initiative and rebranded to FTA, the organization is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and has since become a trusted force in the national anti-corruption movement.
Headquartered in Abuja, FTA operates nationwide, partnering with government institutions, civil society organizations, international development agencies, and citizen groups to strengthen democratic governance. Through research, advocacy, capacity-building, and public engagement, FTA works to dismantle systemic corruption and promote a culture of integrity across all levels of society.
With over 17 years of proven impact, FTA continues to drive transformative change by empowering institutions and individuals to uphold the highest standards of transparency and public service.

Convene government, citizens, and partners to agree on measurable solutions.

Deliver targeted trainings, tools, and guidance for sustainable practice

Provide technical assistance, help set up systems, and coach teams.

Track progress with indicators, feedback loops, and adaptive management.
